E. CROWLEY is likely to win the Eastbourne Chess Club Handicap Chess Tournament. W. Coupe is half a game behind him. J. Martin (Diplock's hotel) would have run the leader close had not pressure of business prevented his playing his games. He has beaten eight out of nine opponents.
