CHESS MATCH.

 

 

The third match between the second team of the Hastings and St. Leonards Chess Club and the Eastbourne Club (all in) was played at Eastbourne last (Friday) evening. The two previous contests each resulted in a draw. The Hastings team was captained by Mr. Herington, who has this week won his way into the first-class by winning the East Sussex Queen. Hastings won, the scores being as follows:—
