CHESS INTELLIGENCE.

 

 

The Inter-University Chess Match resulted in a win for Oxford by 4 games to 3. The match score now stands at—Cambridge, 15; Oxford 9; drawn, 1. The score reckoned in games is less disproportionate:—Cambridge, 118; Oxford, 100; drawn, 58.

 

The game played on Board No. 1 is appended. We recognized the strength of Mr. Spencer Churchill's play in the game published in this column last year. The score was as follows:—
