TO THE EDITOR OF THE NEW YORK

HERALD, PARIS:—

Dear Sir,—Perhaps through your kindness one of your readers might furnish me with an introduction to Mr. Gerald Kelly (or Keeley), the (?) American artist, whose pictures were, I think, in the last Salon. I am personally a stranger to him, but wish to arrange a commission by letter at the above address, in which case I would come later to Paris. Otherwise not.

Thanking you in advance, I am, Sir,

yours to command,

EDW. A. CRAWLEY

P.S.—I cannot let this opportunity pass without remarking on the pleasure it gives me to peruse your elegant sheet in these countries where culture is unknown.
