ACTION AGAINST PROPRIETOR OF BOLESKINE.

—Yesterday, in the Sheriff Court, Hardy Bros., Alnwick, sued Alister Macgregor, who has also styled himself “Lord Boleskine,” the proprietor of Boleskine, for a sum of £28 7s, being the amount due for fishing tackle ordered by Captain Ludovick C. R. Cameron, when acting as resident manager of the estate during the proprietor’s absence. In his defences defender denied liability, as he did not order the goods. Mr Macewen, of Stewart, Rule, and Co., solicitors, acted for pursuers, and Mr Herbert C. Boyd, of James Ross & Boyd, solicitors, for defender. On the case being called, Captain Ludovick Cameron entered the witness-box to give evidence for the pursuers. Mr Macewen intimated that Mr Boyd and he had arranged that the account was not to be disputed, and that there was a prospect of settlement. Sheriff J. P. Grant allowed parties an hour to consider the matter. Afterwards, Me Macewen intimated that the case had been settled out of court.
