FOUR MEN KILLED ON A MOUNTAIN.

 

 

A cablegram from Mr. Allister [sic] Crowley records the abandonment of his expedition up Kanchenjana (Kinchinjunga) the third highest mountain in the world, after an altitude of 21,000ft. had been reached. Unfortunately, at this stage some members of the party decided to return, and a party of six, closely roped together, started, set going an avalanche of snow, and all fell. The guide who commanded the rearguard, and three natives were killed.
