Allan Bennett MacGregor, the Buddhist monk of Scottish descent, has started a Buddhist missionary movement in England. He embraced this faith when in Ceylon, and became fascinated with the creed of Buddha. His mission in England is supported by a rich Burmese lady of high social position. Buddhism denies the existence in man of an immortal ego, a soul or self separated from his fellow creatures. We predict the failure of such a mission in England. |
