THE SCOT WHO IS A BUDDHIST MONK.

 

The Scot has always been adventurous, but Mr. Allan Bennett Macgregor is probably the first to become a Buddhist monk (under the name of Bikkhu Ananda Metteyya). He has come to England with a band of twenty-three disciples, including four women, to carry on a Buddhist mission. Mr. Macgregor started his career as chemical assistant to Dr. Dyer in London and then went to Ceylon where he became fascinated with the creed of Buddha,
