Two years hence, on the 2,500th anniversary of the advent of Buddha, it is proposed to establish a Buddhist monastery in England, according to a statement made by the Buddhist missionary to England. Bikuya Ananda Metteyya [Allan Bennett], who returns to the East in October for a stay of two years, expressed himself as quite satisfied with the fruits of his labour in this country. The Buddhist Society of Great Britain and Ireland now has about 150 members.
