THE POETRY MARKET.
THE BALLAD OF THE MAD BIRD and Other Poems, by Edward Storer. Mr. Edward Storer’s latest book is disappointing. He does little but vary upon the mannerisms which were a not too conspicuous blemish upon his earlier work, “Inclinations” and “Shadows of Illusion.” The execution is more facile, but there is far less temperament in it. It seems possible that this is due to the influence of Mr. Aleister Crowley, who is drawn upon for a quotation on the fly-leaf. |
