[The Triumph of Pan by Victor B. Neuburg.]

The work of this new minor poet shows as yet, more promise than fulfillment, for though there are many beautiful passages in the volume which give hope of something very fine in the future, we feel that the writer still needs to cultivate a greater terseness of diction, and also that he must rid himself of the habit of using the familiar but euphonious rhymes, that suggest echoes of the haunting melodies of Swinburne and of Wordsworth.
