LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
I have read with some surprise in your issue of November 6th a discussion of an unveiling of my monument by Mr. Aleister Crowley. In order that there may be no misunderstanding on the subject of my own views, I should be obliged if you would give me the opportunity of stating in your columns that I should have much preferred the monument to remain veiled until such time as the alleged improvements made against my desires have been removed. I do not consider any unofficial unveiling a compliment to me, though no doubt a jolly occasion for Mr. Crowley and his companions.
