Swift Wings: Songs in Sussex. [By Victor B. Neuburg] (Vine Press, Steyning.) 6s. [Victor B. Neuburg]

This is a pćan of Sussex in thirty-four poems. There are songs of scenery—as of the “wealden-wonder that is Hangleton”—and of Sussex men like Richard Jeffries, described as “a hapless Greek who broke his heart against the eternal rock of Ecstasy.” The book is beautifully produced, with a cover by Beatrice Linda Stanbrough.
