AUSTRALIAN VIOLINIST AT

ST. JOHN'S CHOIR CONCERT.

St. John's Church choir certainly needs no introduction to the people of Yonkers. This fine choir of 40 trained singers will give their annual concert of secular music in St. John's Parish House, Getty Square, Wednesday evening, Dec. 7 at 8:15 o'clock.

It is not often that the Yonkers people have an opportunity to hear a splendid choir such as this one in secular music and they should grasp this chance to hear it. The choir has been rehearsing the concert programme for some weeks and promise not to fall below its high standard of quality this time.

Leila Waddell, Australian violinist, has been secured as the soloist. Miss Waddell has played in all of the big cities of Europe, as well as this country, with success. She is a pupil of Emile Sauret, a great French teacher.

The programme is as follows:

"Chorus of Hommage" Gericke—the choir.

"Dream-Love," Fletcher, and "Poor Little Tomee," Caldicott—the choir.

"Memories," Cadman, and "Spinning Song" from "The Flying Dutchman," Wagner—women of the choir.

"Berceuse," Godard, and "Serenade," Pierne—Miss Waddell.

"A Rose to a Rose," Gilchrist, and "The Goalings," Bridge—the choir.

"At Dawning," Cadman, and "Johnny Schmoker,"—men of the choir.

"Le Cygne," Saint-Saens, and "Poem Hongrolme," Lederer—Miss Waddell.

"A Song of Victory," Fletcher—the choir.
