An Inhuman Monster.
In mentioning the tragic death of Mr. F. C. Loveday [Raoul Loveday], while on a visit to Aleister Crowley, at Cefalu, Sicily, we naturally had no desire to cause further sorrow to the poor boy's relatives, who are pained at the suggestion that he was a victim of the drug habit. It is fair to say that there is no real evidence of this, it being far more likely that he succumbed to sheer neglect at the hands of Crowley; indeed, upon the whole facts we are inclined to accept the relatives view that drugs played little or no part in the sad affair. |
