FORMER BRITISH SPY EXPELLED FROM PARIS.

Paris, Apr. 17—Alastair [sic] Crowley, who claims to have been a British secret service agent during the World war, left Paris today for Brussels after his French identity card was taken from him by the government.

This card was tantamount to expulsion. Crowley said he knew nothing of any charges against him, but was going to Brussels in the hope of being able to return to Paris where he has lived for six years.

He enjoys some reputation as a writer on Rosicrucian doctrines and magic.
