There is an interesting crop of literary libel suits in England just now. The publishers of Nina Hamnett's autobiography, “Laughing Torso,” have submitted to an injunction applied for by Aleister Crowley, who complained of “indecent, vulgar and ignorant” anecdotes about himself. As a result the book has been withdrawn. |
