ARRESTED BY CHINESE.

 

 

Mr. Gerald Yorke, one of the British war correspondents, has been arrested by the Chinese military authorities at Miyunhsien, 50 miles from Pekin. Mr. Yorke is being held in custody at a small Chinese inn. The charges against him are unknown.

     

Mr. Yorke is the sone of Mr. Vincent Wodehouse Yorke, of Tewkesbury, Gloucester, chairman of the Argentine North-Eastern Railway, Ltd., and the Mexican Railway, Ltd.
