Magician Sues Ethel Mannin
The “Daily Express” understands that Mr. Aleister Crowley, the author, mountaineer, and magician, has issued a writ for libel against Miss Ethel Mannin, the popular novelist, and her publishers, Messrs. Jarrolds, in respect of a passage in her book “Confessions and Impressions.” “Confessions and Impressions” was published in 1930.
Notice of motion for an interim injunction to restrain the further sale of the book has also been given by Mr. Crowley, and will be heard in the Chancery Division to-day, before Mr. Justice Farwell. |
