Aleister Crowley, termed "the worst man in the world; a monster of wickedness and a beast," whose libel suit against Miss Nina Hamnett, London authoress, was thrown out of court by a jury. Crowley claimed he had been called a practiser of the black arts in a book written by the defendant.
