ALEISTER CROWLEY.

In Bankruptcy Buildings, London, yesterday, the statutory first meeting of creditors was held under a receiving order made on February 1 against Edward Alexander Crowley, author. The Official Receiver said that Mr. Crowley, who had stated that he was also a psychiatrist and was commonly known as Aleister Crowley, estimated his liabilities at £5,000. He did not admit insolvency, and attributed his present position to inability to earn money because of damage to his reputation arising from a law suit. His assets comprised a large claim in a pending action against a person [Gerald Yorke] now stated to be abroad.
