Wins Essay Contest.

 

 

CHARLES STANSFELD JONES

 

 

Of Deep Water, B.C., who was adjudged winner in the contest recently staged by Hudson’s Bay Company for the clearest and most logically stated opinion of their daily radio programme, “Skipper Scans the News.”

     

The many entries were examined by a committee of three: Judge Helen Gregory MacGill, of the Juvenile Court; Garfield A. King, prominent Vancouver barrister; and Don Laws, sales manager of Radio Station CJOR.

     

As winner of the contest, Mr. Jones will have his choice of any mantel radio, value up to $50, from the six leading lines featured at the recent “Bay” Radio Show.
