2d. in the Pound
Last night’s “London Gazette” announced that the creditors of Mr. Edward Alexander Crowley, Aleister Crowley, author and poet, would receive a first and final dividend of 2d. in the £.
When Mr. Crowley was made bankrupt in May, 1935, with liabilities of approximately £5,000, he contended that he was not insolvent, since there was a book debt of £15,000 due to him in respect of which he was taking action against a person in Shanghai. |
