DER FUEHRER’S GUESTS.

There is nothing exceptional in the ban placed on planes flying over Berlin during Herr Hitler’s 50th birthday celebrations. A similar edict was issued regarding air activities above Paris during the visit of King George and Queen Elizabeth.

Of the imposing roll of birthday guests only two are from this country, and they have received private invitations. They are Lord Brocket, second holder of a barony created in 1933, and Major-General J. F. C. Fuller, the notable tank commander.

Lord Brocket, who lives at Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire, was formerly Mr. Nall Nall-Cain, of Eton and Magdalen, and one-time M.P. for the Wavertree division of Liverpool. He is a member of the Hertfordshire Territorial Association, a Knight of Jerusalem, and hon. Treasurer of the League of Mercy. He captained Oxford at golf against Cambridge in 1925, and succeeded his father a year ago after the latter was made a baron.

General Fuller is a prolific author of military books, including “Memoirs of an Unconventional Soldier” and “The Last of the Gentlemen’s Wars.”
