Deep Cove to Be Seen in Paintings

An exhibition of 13 oil paintings by C. Stansfeld Jones [Charles Stansfeld Jones], Deep Cove, will be shown at Vancouver Art Gallery, June 17 to 29. Nine of these are landscapes typical of Deep Cove during spring and winter.

Mr. Stansfeld Jones, originally a portrait painter of London, England, gave up painting entirely for a number of years and devoted himself to the study of philosophy and kindred subjects in Canada and the United States. Last October he began painting again, this time in the new field of landscape work. The paintings to be exhibited all represent this new period of art.

One-third of the proceeds from sales made during the exhibition have been promised by the artist to the Lord Mayor's Fund.
