—And Councillor-Actor.
Strangely enough, another play by a Hasting author is to have its first presentation shortly. This time the playwright is the popular actor, Vernon Charles—otherwise Councillor E. C. Vernon Symonds of Netherwood, The Ridge—and it will be presented by the Reginald Selleck Repertory Company at the De La Warr Pavilion, Bexhill, on Wednesday, December 12, for six performances.
Entitled “The Girl Who Came Back,” the piece is a topical, up-to-the-minute comedy—“a story for the moment of this unsettled world of ours.”
Vernon Charles will be acting in his own play. |
