CHESS NOTES.
HASTINGS C.C. [Chess Club]
Mr. W. A. Winser spent a profitable leave of absence in Hastings by winning no less than seven tournament games in succession. These were against Jackson, Norman, Cole, Taylor, Herringshaw, Sinden and Whyte, leaving games with Kirk and Crowley still to be arranged. Other games finished are: Norman beat Cole, Kirk beat Whyte, Crowley beat Herringshaw, and Jackson beat Whyte. |
