‘Elixir of Life’ Fails. Magician Dies at 72.

Aleister Crowley, magician and mystic who claimed to have distilled and drunk the true elixir of life at 40, died here last night. He was 72.
Crowley, the center of fantastic stories between the wars, said of himself, “They have called me ‘the worst man in the world.’ ” |
