As an
ardent admirer of Professor Lodge, the Laneys, and the
Thinking Horse, I am compelled to vote for the "Star
in the West"
as we both thought of it independently. Also there is a
serious scriptural tang, which is good. The Wine of Iacchus
as you say is Chap VI now VII. Caps I-IV are the
The womb of Eclidua is only good because it suggests the Sphinx—"The Sphinx of the West" would do. So would "Thelema." But I think the Star is best.
I hope to send you the Crown and Bil[illegible] sketch for approval to-morrow.
I have sent your criticism of Man of Kerioth to the author!
As to Osborne, I would have to come for a couple of nights. Can't you find me a hole or a nest or must I be like the other Son of Man?
I want to pass a day B'mouth going back.
If you can get me anything, even a boot-cupboard or a share in a nurse's bed, let me know at once. My days are dreadfully full now.
I am moving to bacherlorhood in Jermyn Street St, [D.V.] on 25th, I guess.
