Correspondence from Auguste Rodin to Aleister Crowley

My dear Crowley,

Your poetry has this violent flower, this good sense, and this irony, which is unexpected.

It's of a powerful charm and resembles a beneficent attack.

Your poetry is therefore violent, and this side pleases me too.

I am honoured that you took my drawings and am also honoured in your book.

Yours,

AUG. RODIN
