Re Mahatma [Sri Agayama Paramahamsa].

 

I want to see M[ahatma] daily, and can't do it from here. I wonder if you'd let me use your servant's room as bachelor quarters: I'd give no trouble and make no mess, defy burglars and bless you. If you say 'yes' say it in a whisper for I wouldn't want my whereabouts known. I would be doing Yoga of sorts. I saw a Traveller yesterday, not one of Scott's [Walter Scott publishing company], who has sold 15 copies S. in W. [The Star in the West] already, and done much to get it talked about. Said Traveller knows Bernard Vaughan and will take it to him.
