Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to J.F.C. Fuller
Hotel du Petit Sahara Bou-Sada
28 . 11 . 1909
My dear Captain Fuller,
This the Sahara is the coldest place I have ever stuck bar high mountains. To-day is fine and warm—the first of such days; but the nights are incredibly bitter, and the wind is like that damned Tibetan draught.
This is a fine Arab city with Ouled Nails in [illegible]; but I am sticking to the 30 aethyrs. 6 I have done; but each one is more exhausting than the last. This morning's left me entranced for an hour, and I am still dizzy.
I have a touch of fever too, which helps.
I move on to Biskra in 10 days, and shall hope to hear from you there. By that time one will want a change.
Worship for me at the feet of the Fairy Princess, and tell her I'm looking out for a curio worth about 15 centuries to send her.
The dry air is excellent for magic and meditation. I hope you'll get your 99-corpse book done soon! How's dear Collinore? And the ruffled plumes of turkey McCall?
Yours
a.c.
Capt. J.F.C. Fuller 89, Overstrand Mansions, Battersea Park London S.W.
