Correspondence from John Yarker to Aleister Crowley
[EXTRACT]
[17 March 1911]
These are the facts, all our old members died off. [ . . . ] I therefore made up my mind to let it expire in honor, but as enquiry has arisen, and America is reviving, I thought it might be given to a few, & see what comes of it. At my age, 78, I am not anxious to tumble about it, for I have a poor opinion of your Masons, generally, and with good reasons. [ . . . ]I should like to see the rites carried on after my death, though I am not hoping to peter out yet. [ . . . ] But I do not (as you will gather from this) want to urge any one to undertake a labor which will be ill requested.
