Correspondence from R.W. Felkin to W.B. Yeats
London
15th September 1912.
Private.
Care V.[ery] H.[onoured] Frater,
We do not leave till October the 10th: so that I hope that we shall see you before we start. We had a very interesting time in Germany & got several Grades.
I also found out that "S.[apere] A.[ude]" [William Wynn Westcott] did indeed get the letters from Fr[au]l[ein]: A[nna] Sprengel so he did not forge them as D[eo] D[uce] C[omite] F[erro] [MacGregor Mathers] said. I have made an affidavit to this effect.
The Cypher MSS. however were not of real German origin i.e., they were notes of Ceremonies which had been written by an Englishman in English in an old cypher.
I was too much engaged in getting Grades & things that I could not go into the Astrology for you this time I will do so when I go over again.
I am sorry that you cannot come on the 21st: but be sure & let us know soon when you can come.
Fraternally yours,
F.[inem] R.[espice]
