Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Agnes Crowley

[Undated: circa May 1913]

Dear Cousin Agnes,

The Ragged Ragtime Girls are not a musical composition. They are 7 girls who dance and play the fiddle. So the only possibility of it attaining in Devonshire Park would be a Sunday engagement. June 29 is the only possible date. It is very kind of you to take an interest in it. If you should happen to be in London between June 30 and July 5 I should be very pleased to take you to see the show. But perhaps you could personally manage to give them an engagement for that date.

I had no idea that my Uncle had seen you. I haven't the slightest idea what he could have had to say. It is extremely stupid of you to [ . . . ? . . .], but the whole business appears to have been muddled from the start to finish.
