John Clay,

We are publishing a translation of the first 317 pages of the Key of the Mysteries by Eliphas Levi in No. X of the Equinox. I have put markers in at the pieces where illustrations occur. Please tell me whether any of these illustrations can be reproduced satisfactorily without the trouble of making fresh drawings and indicating to me which they are. I do not know whether you have anyone on your staff who would be competent to undertake this rather unusual type of illustration. Please return the volume at your earliest convenience.
