Very Illustrious and very Brother,
Yours of the 26th instant to hand. I am sorry that you will be unable to attend at Manchester on Saturday, but I shall be pleased to meet your Illustrious son [Robert Ahmed Quilliam] at the Midland Hotel at 1 o'clock on Saturday. I shall try and see Very Illustrious Brother [Richard] Higham privately before the meeting.
