Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Emily Crowley

[2 July 1913]

I am sending you the ten shillings or rather a cheque for the same which I hope the bank will honour. The manager is a very pleasant man full of good spirits and very friendly in disposition. He seemed to take a liking to me the first time he saw me, but whether it will run to ten bob is more than I can say. I hope to hear that you are very much better. I am probably leaving [for Russia] on either Sunday morning or Tuesday night. I can't quite make out, so let me have a line by return to say you are well, happy, prosperous and conducting yourself with the decorum which I have learned to expect from you.

Ever your loving son.
