Very Illustrious and dear Brother,
I received your notice of July 1 with regard to the meeting. You will see from other documents which I am sending you that my account differs from yours slightly. Mr. Wedgwood [James Ingall Wedgwood] did not object to my presence but only argues that if I were right in my contention that he was not entitled, I was equally on the ground that his Masonic authority was identical with mine.
