Yours of Aug 29th. All quite right and in order.
It is most desirable that you should get all members through 2° if possible by the end of the month; as early in October it may well be that some one may be able to instruct you personally in 3°.
I will write more definitely later on. But be prepared for all sorts of fun. At the same time, say nothing to anybody; just use your authority to get the work through.
