Pray accept our thanks for sending us a copy of Stuart X's [Henry Stuart]
which we are mailing back to you. We are very sorry to say that we are not encouraged to undertake this book you do us the honor to propose and that the great number of books we have to consider makes it impossible for us to give you any detailed reasons, tho we may add that we practically never have any success in taking over a book that has already been at least partly published, but this is not our only reason.
