Care Frater,
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
Just a line to acknowledge the receipt of the VIII° and IX° documents and your letter Sol in Leo, Luna in Cancer.
Thank you very much for these, I have now a great deal of material to study, and also, it is evident, much work to do.
I will write you a long letter as soon as I can. This d..... office work, is a limitation, that I hope will not be necessary for long. It is no doubt for the best, anyway.
There seems to be a slightly better 'current' running tonight. One of our Br[ethre]n., who enlisted a few days ago, has just been to inform me that in case of his death, he has mentioned the Lodge here in his will, so that we get an equal share of his small estate with that of each of his children. As soon as he had said good-bye, another Sister was waiting to say that some money had at last arrived, long expected, and that she would like to let us have $35 towards expenses recently incurred. This is encouraging, because it shows the right spirit.
I won't write more just now, am very sleepy and tired.
Love is the Law, Love under Will.
Yours in the bonds of the Order,
|
