Correspondence from Charles Stansfeld Jones to Aleister Crowley
P.O. Box 70. Vancouver. B.C.
December 14th 1916 E.V.
Beloved Father,
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
I thank you for your letter of December 1st E.V., and am glad to have your assurance that all is well despite appearances.
I am sending you Bro. Phelps’ [Maurice Phelps] report of the time he spent in Cranbrook. I think it exceedingly creditable that our Brother, in spite of the fact that he is but a II° and has been able to attend but few of our meetings, has so devoted himself to the Work. In spite of many disadvantages and in the face of the difficulties attending such work in a place like Cranbrook. B.C. I only wish all the Br[ethre]n. here showed a similar spirit. I find it very hard not to become discouraged by the conditions prevailing here.
I am glad to hear that the London Lodge is doing so well; I suppose there is a cyclic action in all these things.
Will you be good enough to let me know what device you adopted to hold the platinum top on your ring. Can I also have the signs of N.O.X. which seem necessary to the complete understanding of revised Pentagram and Hexagram Rituals.
I have very little fresh news, but hope things will brighten up after the Solstice.
Love is the Law, Love under Will.
Your son,
