New Orleans.

Write c/o Cooks. N.Y.C.

January 8 [1917]

My beloved son, in whom I am well pleased.

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.

Yours of Jan 7 and 8 with record. Letter exactly what is wanted. Make it as full as you can.

I will send Book 4 Pt I to Cannaughton.

Baphomet = Babalon.

No missing sections of Agape [Liber Agape Azoth sal Philosophorum] available yet.

Can't discuss Persian poetry in letters; but there's an absolute rule not to refer to it at all in any personal connexion unless the other is equally learned. Or so I should imagine.

All books must be ordered direct from 93 Regent Street.

I'm dead tired: working day and night on a novel—of all things!

Love is the law, love under will.

Fraternally,

Write often; it cheers. I've not spoken to an educated person since Dec 7.
