My Beloved son,
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
I have yours of November 29th. I do not want to criticise it in detail. You must wait until I have more leisure; but in the mean time let me say that I should like you to continue the experiments. I have the greatest doubts, however, as to whether R. S. J. [Rubina Stansfeld Jones] is a satisfactory assistant. It seems to me that some at least of this stuff was manipulated in her interest.
Love is the law, love under will.
