Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to C. F. Russell
[undated: circa May 1919]
63. [63, Washington Square, New York City, N.Y.]
Care Frater,
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
I delayed answer to yours till I had seen our brother, which I did yesterday. You need attention. Jones [Charles Stansfeld Jones] is the man to give it. I sent off your EQX [Equinox], bar No. 8, which Soror Ahit[h]a [Roddie Minor] has, and will send, and No. 10, which somebody has, I know not who, but I guess it will turn up.
You certainly did right to go to Detroit. I won't say more, for you are now in the hands of one who will not let you err.
Miss Hirsig [Leah Hirsig] sends her warmest affection to her absent sailor-boy. I believe she wrote you direct.
Love is the law, love under will.
Fraternally,
[signed] 666.
I enclose this to Jones, in case you have a new address now.
