I've dug up your original letter about the double Mercury—I haven't the slightest idea what it means. Did some definite physiological phenomenon occur and if so what? I'm not at all good at guessing conundrums of this kind and feel myself very much to blame for having occasionally written in this sort of way myself.

Love is the law, love under will.
