Correspondence from Aleister Crowley to Grant Richards
31 Wellington Square Chelsea
[undated: 16 May 1922 ?]
Dear Mr. Grant Richards,
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
The "Open Mind"?—quite as good as the "Open Door".
Unreasonable? No: But I wish you could hear the Law of Thelema as "Reason".
However, 3.30 on Tuesday next is marked in my Little Red Book, and perhaps we may replace the Open Mind with the Open Cheque.
By the way, I am at work on the book [his memoirs], jotting down odd anecdotes as they recur. Three months from now, I should have a full supply.
I must, by the way, to sail for Lisbon on July 5.
Love is the law, love under will.
Yours truly,
Aleister Crowley |
