I shall wire you £10 to-morrow, and I hope more very soon.

You needn't send the clothes if they haven't gone.

But I need Ninette's [Ninette Shumway] diary instantly, the part that has been typed.

I bet myself that I would arrive in London with nothing my bland clothes and less than £10 in my pocket—and get on my feet financially; and renew my credit and my position in London within 3 months.

Today is four weeks and a day since I landed; and I have practically won the bet already—though there have been hard sloggings. Only to-day have finally seen the Light break through the clouds—and my watch is still with Uncle Sol!

But I can see ahead clearly enough. I'll put you all right very soon. Only hand on till July 15.

Love to you Ninette and all
