Correspondence from Norman Mudd to the Editor of Quotidien[1]

[Extract]

[15 September 1923]

[Aleister Crowley] has, in the last few months, written a number of poems and sonnets against Mussolini, whom he regards as the mad mongrel cur of Europe. I have the honour to enclose herewith a copy of these poems, and suggest that you should print them in the Quotidien, with a French translation and, if necessary some words of introduction. The vigour of these poems and the bitterness of their contempt and irony should make them very effective in helping to rid Europe of this desperate danger.
